> UMAF Information The United Martial Arts Federation was created in 2005 by martial artists who are open to other styles and different ideas. As with all Martial Arts Systems UMAF has a history long before 2005 that has lead to its current presence and practices. > UMAF Philosophy The philosophy of the United Martial Arts Federation is to embrace the spirit of all martial arts. The real difference in the art is the individual student, for this reason we do not feel any martial art is superior to another. Something positive can be learned from them all. Martial arts teach us not only to grow physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. Martial Arts teach us respect, discipline and a sense of self worth. These principles should not only touch the student in the classroom, but follow them through all aspects of their life. As students grow in knowledge and gain wisdom they should share these principles to help enhance others. This never ending cycle of growth is the fundamental element of the UMAF philosophy. |
