Our merit badge program is a great way for our 6-12 year old students to earn and display badges they earn.  Some of the merit badges can be earned for skills they demonstrate for their instructors, others are academic achievements, and more!  Some can be earned in the classroom, while others can be earned during our special merit badge classes.

To view or download a list of all the badges please Click Here.  See an instructor for more information.

Our Kid Tigers Patch Program is to allow our Kid Tigers the opportunity to earn patches while learning martial arts and life skills.  Some patches must be earned at White Tiger, while others must be awarded by the parents.  Once the student earns a patch it may be proudly worn on the left sleeve of their uniform.

Below see an example of how the patches should be arranged on the sleeve.  The Kid Tigers patch should be first, and then subsequent patches lined up underneath it.  The Kid Tigers patch should be on the top part of the sleeve closest to the shoulder.  There is no particular order for patches to line up underneath the Kid Tigers patch.

Below is a list of the patches, and what must be done to earn them.

What we say at the beginning and ending of class:
"Sir, courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, indomitable spirit Sir!"

Explanation of Tenets
1. Courtesy
Taekwondo students should  be polite to one another and to respect others. Students should address instructors as Sir/Ma'am and to bow to the instructors before and after classes.  Students should also address parents, and other adults as Sir or Ma'am.

2. Integrity
One who has integrity is able to define what is right or wrong and have the conscience, if wrong, to feel guilt. Taekwondo students should strive to be honest and to live by moral principles.

3. Perseverance
Perseverance means having patience. One of the most important secrets of becoming a leader in Taekwondo, and in life is to overcome every difficulty by perseverance.

4. Self-Control
Without self-control, a Taekwondo student is just like any fighter in the street. Loss of self-control is disastrous both in sparring and personal affairs.

5. Indomitable Spirit
A true student of Taekwondo will never give up, not even when faced with insurmountable odds. The most difficult goals can be achieved with indomitable spirit.

Our Star Program is to award and recognize our 3 - 12 year old students for attendance and outstanding grades on their report cards.  The students proudly display the stars they earn on the collar of their uniform.
